DJ Quicktastic is Nick McCord. Nick’s musical selection of soulful/funky dance tunes emit a groove so catchy, your limbs won’t physically be able to resist bouncing to the rhythm. “Quick” doesn’t just perform, he takes you on a Quicktastic Voyage.
Nick is a resident DJ at Agency Afterhours, a renowned creative industry party at Richard Branson’s Virgin Hotels in Chicago. He is also a featured role model in VMLY&R’s “Dear Black Talent” campaign meant to inspire young black creatives to claim their place in the advertising industry.
Outside of his weekly Thursday residency at Arbella for Voyage Nights featuring a rotating cast of guest DJs, Quicktastic has played around the world in LA, NY, Denver, and Cannes at festivals, rooftops, lounges and bars alike. Some of the notable places are the Cannes Lions, Celeste, Emporium Arcade Bar, Soho House, and Virgin Hotels.
Quicktastic has appeared on film as a DJ on HBO’s South Side. And has performed with and opened for the likes of BJ The Chicago Kid, Big Sean, Chromeo, and others.
Quicktastic is very active in the Chicago community, giving back and performing at multiple charity events and art shows.
