DJ LALA—named after the Spanish article “la” as a nod to female empowerment and the musical note “la” for their love of Latin music—emerged in 2018 with a residency at the Virgin Hotels rooftop in collaboration with Agency Afterhours. With a mission rooted in inclusivity and purpose, they’ve lit up prestigious stages and culture-forward events including the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, the 2022 UN Women USA Gender Equality Awards, and the annual celebration for the Office of the City Clerk of Chicago—championing the role of Latina women in government along the way.

Grounded in Puerto Rican, Colombian, and Venezuelan sounds that reflect their diverse background, DJ LALA delivers a vibrant Latin-forward set everywhere they go. Beyond the decks, they’re also known as M&G—an award-winning creative team at World of Whirlpool—bringing the same versatility, creativity, and community-first energy to everything they touch.
