DJ LALA

Thursday, October 16

We’re called DJ LALA. Why? We were inspired by the female article “la” in Spanish, bringing women empowerment to our parties. And the other “la” like the musical note, because that’s what we love the most: latin music.

We had our start at the Virgin Hotels rooftop in 2018, where we currently have a residency with Agency Afterhours. We’ve filled some important rooms with music and dancing to celebrate good causes, like the 2022 UN Women USA Gender Equality Awards and the annual celebration for the Office of the City Clerk of Chicago, a latina woman in government.

The quarantine didn’t stop us. When the world needed music and a happy hours, we hosted over 20 virtual parties with our DJ friends to raise donations for Off The Street Club, so they can continue their mission to help underprivileged kids in Chicago-even when their fundraising events were cancelled.

Our latin set is rooted in Puerto Rican, Colombian and Venezuelan music-where we’re from. When we’re not DJ LALA, we’re M&G, an award winning creative team at World of Whirlpool.

As Jordan developed, he realized he needed to learn how to produce music and build a real brand. This is where JET BLVCK Started.

JET BLVCK is a House music project, that the name itself sheds light on the direction of it. The “JET” can be a reference to the high bpm of Speed House produced by the Artist, and the “BLVCK” references the other side of the production, which is deep and dark. JET BLVCK also displays his brand on stage with an all-black get up, that includes a leather jacket and LED glasses.

As a Producer, JET BLVCK has had the opportunity to release a track on Chicago?s premier house music label, which is Gene Farris’s Farris Wheel Recordings. JET BLVCK has also released on Milwaukee’s premier house music label, Pharoah Phonix. JET BLVCK and his team look forward to continuing to build his brand and release a lot more genre bending music.

As a DJ, JET BLVCK has found success throughout the Midwest, sharing the stage with incredible artists such as: Ghastly, Grandtheft, Dada Life, Herobust, Dillon Nathaniel, Bijou, Valentino Khan, Codes, Moksi, Masteria, Mija, Fetish, and Capozzi.
